The food pyramid shows the major food groups with the amount of servings in each group.

Each of these food groups provides some of the nutrients you need daily. It is better to center your diet around the foods at the base of the Pyramid, and eat less of the foods at the top of the Pyramid.

In all Indian recipes, we use a lot of spices. Most of the spices are grown in India and The Cook’s Thesaurus has a comprehensive listing of all the spices and you might want to refer to them as you do the cooking.
